Possibly.

When I was young, I heard the name "Aunt Celia Jane McEntire." My great grandfather was Richard McEntire (son of Ransome.) Richard has a sister named Celia Jane. Ransome's father was Josiah Joseph who married Luvina (Luvinia) Proctor. In 1850, Ransome is living in Cleveland County, NC, next door to Mark Proctor. I believe that his father has moved to Union County Georgia. (Ref. second wife Martha Horde.

Ransome's father's trail is somewhat of a mystery.

# Note: Bride: Luvina Proctor Groom: Josiah McIntire Bond Date: 18 Jun 1818 County: Rutherford Record #: 01 204 Bondsman: William Botts Witness: Thomas Martin Bond #: 000134995

2nd wife:(?) Martha Horde (see 1860 Federal Census, Walker Ga, Lossie McEntire and Martha; see 1870 census: Joseph McEntire and Martha)
(Same children, for example Laura (Lura) A (Avalon) who marries Black)
Name: Laura BLACK Age: 26 Estimated birth year: <1854> Birthplace: Georgia Occupation: Keeping House Relationship to head-of-household: Wife Home in 1880: Ringgold, Catoosa, Georgia Marital status: Married Race: White Gender: Female Spouse's name: Joseph C. BLACK Father's birthplace: SC Mother's birthplace: NC Cannot read/write:

Luvinia may be the daughter of John Hobert Proctor. (

RE: McIntire living near DEDMON families in Georgia
Laura McIntire (d/o Joseph and M. Horde?) marries Joseph Black. Living near: DEDMON families

1860 Federal Census: Lossie McEntire and Martha McEntire.
(Error: Lossie - is Joseph. Same family members as listed in the 1870 census.)
Name: Joseph Mcentire Estimated Birth Year: abt 1798 Age in 1870: 72 Birthplace: South Carolina Home in 1870: Subdivision 145, Walker, Georgia Family and neighbors

How does this connect to your question? Josiah Joseph had a brother, John C. John C married Rachel Parker (1) and Jane Harvey (2). Could Jane Harvey be Celia Jane?
