I am NOT researching McEntires in Bartow County, GA. However, I do live there, and this was in the paper today. I thought some of the McEntire researchers might be interested.

Charlie J. McEntire, ii, of Highway 140, Adairsville, died Tuesday July 24, 2001.
Mr. McEntire was born Feb. 8, 1913, in gordon County, a son of Charles Newton McEntire and Elizabeth Ann Kay McEntire, a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Corps, having ervied in World War II and a member of the FIrst United Methodist Church in Adairsville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Owens McEntire.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral sservices wre held Thursday, July 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the REv. John Agnew officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hil Cemetery.
Pall berarers were Charles, Black, Jimmy Kay Black, Wayne Black, Kent Black, Wendell Black, C.J. McEntire and Mike Black.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, was in charge of the arrangements.
