My G-g-grandfather was Owen FitzSimmons. From his naturalization petition, Owen FitzSimmons was born at Kingscourt, County Cavan, Ireland, on or about the 19th day of September, 1806 and he arrived at Boston, Massachusetts, on or about June 3, 1834. His wife was Bridget O'Reilly, daughter of John O'Reilly of Rassan, Crosserlough Parish. The "Missing Friends" column of the Boston Pilot made mention of Owen FitzSimmons in an 1845 advertisement. Of Mary McEntee, formerly of the Parish of Castlerahan, Co. Cavan, who came to America about six years ago, and when last heard from about 3 years ago, she was in New York City, and was then, she said, preparing to go live out in the country. Any information respecting her will be duly acknowledged and attended to by her sister, Margaret McEntee, by addressing her to the care of Mr. Isaac Breroster or Mr. Owen FitzSimmons, Tremont House, Boston.
