My great aunt Mildred told me it was an arguement of religion. This is a little bit revised from my previous post. I'll have to find which grandfather, great or gg, that had an arguement with his catholic priest brother. After that spat, he changes the spelling to the way of protestant including the "A". I am in Ulster Co. are you in Dutchess?
