I come from the mid-Hudson region of New York and have been working on this line of the MacEntee family for some time.

I heard a different story - that the original ancestor came in through Canada and the "A" was added to make it appear as a Scots name due to anti-Irish sentiment in New York. Well I've proven that one wrong.

I have been able to trace back this way:
me, Richard MacEntee, Abraham MacEntee (1913 - 1977), Elmer A. MacEntee (1881 - Aft. 1930), and John W. MacEntee (born about 1846)
