Thea

Don't discount that the Native American line could come through the Knight side of the family. Perhaps a Grandpa or Grandma Knight was the Native American?

Since the McElyea name itself seems to not have any Native American connection, you need to research the families of the female who married a McElyea boy. Then from there you'd have to research all lines until your find the one person who was Native American and married a white person to start the Native American blood line to decrease by each generation.
