Robert P Tooney, Michael m. Mary Payne of Lekis, William, George m. Elizabeth Dunlap, John m. Betty Payne of Lewis, and Sallie (S). This I have sent to Margaret (a researcher) and I am waiting to hear from her. This tells me that George's father was Michael McElwee. (But I have also found a Sale of estate of Michael McElwee, 11-19-1805 by John Davis, adm. Buyers Biddy McElwee, John Davis, John B, Lewis and Thomas Edington., Then bond by Charles L Francisco and Robert Ptomey to Alexander McClintic, James Hamilton, Joseph Mayse, Charles A. Lewis and Robert Gay, gentlemen justices for $100 May 16, 1814 for Francisco's service as guardian of John McElwee, orphan child of Michael McElwee, also a garadian for Sarah McElwee, orphan child of Michael McElwee, and a guardian for George McElwee, orphan child of Michael Mcelwee. Margaret Gentges tells me that this Michael is only 19 (the one that died) So the Michael that died has to be the one who is George's brother and John's and Williams, and Sarah.
