Is this the David Milton McElwain that settled in southern Missouri for a time in the late 1800's? I am descended from a Harvey McElwain, born in Illinois in 1869, whose father is said to be David, but we know little else. His family was settled in Vernon County, Missouri at the turn of the century. We think he had two brothers, Frank and Jim. WT
