I have a record showing a Lititia McElveen married James H. Hancock. They had 4 children: James E., Keith, Jeddie Ann and Roxie. I do not have dates of marriage or birth.
Lititia was the daughter of Margaret Elizabeth McElveen who was born about 1825 and died between 1900 and 1910.
Margaret Elizabeth was the daughter Adam McElveen (1795-1837) and Susannah G. McKnight (1806-1856).
Adam was the son of William M. McElveen (1757-1837) and mother unknown.
Susannah's parents are unknown at this time.
This is in the Olanta/Turbeville area south of Florance, SC.
I hope this helps.
Do you have other information on the McElveens or Moores in that area in that time?
Please advise.
Harold
