Jencie was from Dublin. They prob. landed at Charleston, moved inland to Spartanburg, SC, and later Michael entered the 1832 Cherokkee Land Lottery, and got 2 plots in Georgia. Jim
Mary Jane married William Durham, and I corresponded with Leon Durham. I sem to recall that Mary Jane went to Florida, then moved back to Georgia. Some wags say Michael was from Scotland, and he lived in Ayr, before going to Ireland and meeting Jenci. Walter finds the family name back to 600 AD, and three were awarded land by Robert the Bruce after the Battle of Bannockburn.
