McElreath Family Homepage

I have been granted space on rootsweb.com Freepages for the McElreath Homepage. I will be posting all the variants of the names, as I have undertaken to list not just McElreath, but all the variants, Irish and Scot.My birth certificate says:McElreath, and so does my father's death certificate. If I can find certified proof that my grandfather, James Matthew McElreath, spelled his the same way, then I am looking for my g.g.father, spelled the same.I just pulled a copy of Johnston's, The Scottish Macs, 1922, and I am still looking for an authentication in County Ayr, Scotland, and in Dublin, where Jencie Carson is reputed to come from.Regards,James Lloyd McElreath Jr
