Robert James McElhinney is my 3rd Great Grand Father on my mothers side. I am doing research on this family line. If any one has any information about Robert, please e-mail me at hansfamily1@msn.com Robert was married to a woman named Campbell and had a son named John Noble McElhinney. There may be different spellings of the name McElhinney. I have been given to believe that the McElhinney Clan comes from "Old Gilligorm, Chief of the Logans, who was killed by the Frasers. His son, Mac Ghille Inane was the source of the Clan McLennan. The MacLennan's who migrated to the North of Ireland became the McElhinney's ..." this is a 13th Centery reference.
