Thanks to those who sent in a description of the McElhinney coat of arms.I found this description in a paper entitled:The Ancient History of The Distinguished Surname:McElhinney. It reads as follows:The most ancient grant of coat of arms was:Red and gold horizontal bands.The Crest was a sheath of five arrows tied with a red band. Compliments of Rev.John F.McElhinney c/0 pastor@nbnet.nb.ca I am a Canadian living in New Brunswick,Canada so this is a proper email address.
