William and Harriet McElhaney of Venango Co.

While working on this line I am having a problem finding their son, Joseph H. McElhaney, born March 24, 1846. Were ther 2 Joseph McElhaneys born about this time in the Venango area in the early 1900s: I found a Joseph H. in the 1910 census living in the household of his son Harry E. that would be about the right age, however I cannot find him in the 1900 census. Harry's wife is Leah O. and I know her maiden name is McElhaney as she is the daughter of Marion O. (son of Wm and Harriet) therefore I have to assume this is not the correct Joseph H. or Harry and Leah married as cousins. Can anyone identify this Joseph?
Thank you for any and all help.
