Ive been told that the name McElhaney is a direct derivitive of Macelhinney and the name is from North West Donegal, Ireland.

But I have also been told that the name is scottish origin, so I have no idea Ive been searching around for years and still no one can give me a definite answer, cause my father is no where to be found and both his parents are dead. So Im stuck at an impass.

But if you do find anything new about the name please let me know !! Thanks so much and God BLess. Christina McElhaney cmcelhaney@myway.com
