i wanted to ask, if anyone knows where in ireland
the family mcelhaney comes from?
i have searched for mine forever in the usa,
so i wanted to go to ireland in the spring to do some
searching there...
william mcelhaney was my ggg grandfather...
he was born about 1783, i know he married in va.
he married heneretta ward, but she may have been a
second wife? not sure?
he came to caldwell county ky about 1810
he aswell as the william bond family and frances urey
family were all close bt each other there..
i know for sure about the urey family comeing over to the usa into pa, then to ky were he married pernica bond
daughter of said william bond.
iam assuming that william mcelhaney and frances urey may have both come over from ireland..
