I also am looking for a John McElgunn, but my John left Ireland for Australia in November of 1865. He landed in Queensland Australia. He is my ggrandfather and I have been trying to locate some of his relatives from Enniskillen Co Fermanagh as this is the name of the town and County which he wrote on his marriage certificate.

I have a copy of his shipping list and he doesnt give a name of the place from which he departed so I am assuming that it would have been from somewhere in England. He paid for his passage with cash and he travelled on the LIGHT OF AGE. His contract ticket number was 5250.

Hope that some one can help me, or that they can give me information as to where I can go from here??
