Sorry it took so long to reply, I've been out of town on family business. From what I have heard there are two sources of the McEachern family name. One from MacDonalds in Northern Ireland and another that came from mainland Scotland (not the Isle of Skye). I was told that the two groups are not blood related though both are called Sons of the Horse Lord. We have have had no information on "our" McEacherns, when they got to North America where the left from or where they first settled. Many thanks for sharing.
