Subject: McDuffie book - library locations

The book: "JOHN and FLORA McDONALD McDUFFIE OF THE ISLE OF SKYE, SCOTLAND & A RECORD OF THEIR DESCENDANTS WHO SETTLED IN NORTH CAROLINA, MISSISSIPPI & LOUISIANA" by Eva B. Loe McDuffie (born 1905), privately published c. 1959 in Louisiana, is available on microfilm through LDS branch libraries - FHL US/CAN Film 874713, Item 6.

Book format and content: 91 pages, handprinted, no index.

The book is also available at library locations such as the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana

If you're in Louisiana, the book is available for on-site research at the Annie Laurie Moody/Louisiana State DAR Library. This DAR collection is housed in the genealogy section of the Baton Rouge library, telephone 225-763-2283:

Bluebonnet Branch
East Baton Rouge Parish Library
9200 Bluebonnet Blvd.
Baton Rouge, La 70810

If you're researching on-site in a library for a paper copy of the book: Call No. 929.2 M149M, OCLC Number: ocm18941402.

Note that if you are doing an Internet search for the book title, it has abbreviations and may appear this way: "John and Flora McDonald McDuffie of the Isle of Skye, Scotland; and a record of their descendants who settled in N. C., Miss., and La."

I don't have a copy of the book myself, but found it in the LDS library catalog on-line (www.familysearch.org) -- always a good place to search for out-of-print genealogy books.
