Seeking info on a Mahala McDuffee (b. 1820 in KY.), Joseph N. McDuffee(born abt.1843 in AL.) and William McDuffee(born abt. 1845 in AL).
I find this family in the 1850 Meigs Co., TN census, but cannot trace them back any further. I do not know who Joseph or Williams father was, although on the 1880 census Joseph (who mostly went by Jasper Newton) lists that his father was born in Alabama.
I guess Mahala was born in KY and then for some reason went to Alabama and married.
ANY help appreciated.
