The only proof there seems to be is that all the lines had her as the mother of this part of the clan and that mansfield was one of the boys' names that went through the family, al though it stopped presumably because so many of the ones that had it died young. if you find a better proof, let me and everyone else know. suggest you contact the MacDuffie, MacFie Clan Society and ask for their help or the McDuffee Family page.
