I received a message from a gentleman on the Creed genforum who corrected my data and thought I'd better pass it on to see what other family members think:

You're confusing two Rachel/Rachael McDuffees, who were first cousins. Rachel was born in about 1808 and married Colby Creed; I suspect that she was the daughter of Robert McDuffie and Sallie Taylor, who were married in 1806 in Harrison Co KY and whose younger children, born from 1813 on, I have notes on. Rachael, born 25 Jan 1813 in Harrison Co KY, was the eldest child of Gabriel Columbus McDuffie and Priscilla Evans and married John W Ballard; she died before him in 1871 in Sacramento Co CA. The mother of Robert and Gabriel was Rachel Murlie, and they also had a sister named Rachel. Both Colby Creed (in Rush Co) and John W Ballard (in Shelby Co) appear in the 1850 census with their respective Rachel/Rachaels.
If you have information on the descendants of any of these, I'd be happy to exchange further information.

So that is his message, and there appears to be 2 Rachel McDuffees. I will have to go back and check my information, but in the meantime, will e-mail you with my address and more information. I'd be interested to hear what other McDuffee family members have to say about Rachel McDuffee (or her cousin?)
