I met DR. Carter in Clemson at his home. He is a direct descendant on the male line from John and "Matchless" Martha McDuffee the parents of the 1718 Scotch-Irish immigrants who settled in Londonderry, Chester and Rochester, New Hampshire.
Giles work in genealogy research and obtaining a DNA test where the key to break through our family brick line. Seeing his work motivated my research, and the 1718 Project. I will be in Ballymoney, County Antrim to attend the "Route Back Home" conference. I may be making the final link to the McDuffee's in Ulster pre-1718. I will be sad Dr. Carter will not be able to learn the conclusion, but proud to carry on his work.
