In the 1850 Claysville, Guernsey Co., Ohio John is with his parents James & Jane Bigham McDowell & James jr
John Milton McDowell
b: 1849 Claysville, Guernsey Co., Ohio
In July 30, 1851 John had a sister Lavonia Jane McDowell then they moved to Mahaska Co., Iowa and James McDowell sr died. Jane Bigham McDowell then married my gggrandfather
James A. Reid/Reed now John Milton is living with James Reed & Jane as it is spelled in 1860 then in 1870 census its spelled Reid John is with them. Then in 1880 census same town Jefferson Twp, Mahaska Co., Iowa John is going by Milton McDowell I have no idea where he went who he married etc etc any help will be very greatful and I thank you.
