There are a couple of really good family trees on rootsweb.com. ONe is very well documented but the person submitting the family tree is unknown. I was wondering if this Daniel McDowell might be the same one that married Lydia Ledbetter and had say three or four children and then they got divorced, because the background of NC to GA fits very well with the story of Lydia being widowed (read divorced if I am right) and leaving her children behind in Georgia and marrying Lewis Shellhouse with their oldest child born about 1807-1810. Daniel's spouse is unknown and I have no knowledge of any Miss Moss. Wish someone could help me out here.
