I am seeking information on William McDowell. He was born 1761 in Maryland and died in 1838 in Trimble County,Kentucky. William McDowell was in the Revolutionary War and served in the Virginia line. William lived in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties of Virginia until 1809 when William moved to Fayette County,Kentucky. William married a Sarah and had the following known children, Jane, John, Richard born 1790 in Virginia, Mary born 1793 in Virginia,Elizabeth born 1794 and died in 1882 in Kentucky. William left Fayette County,Kentucky in 1825 and moved to Gallatin County,Kentucky and died in Trimble County,Kentucky in 1838. Williams brother was Alexander McDowell born abt 1755 in New Castle County Delaware and father was also names Alexander. If you have any information or a descendant of this family please contact me
