First may I suggest you go to ALL your family members and obtain all the information they can offer, before they are gone and you have noone to ask. Every tid-bit will help you eventually put your family puzzle together. Go to a library near you and pull ALL the obituaries, then go to the courthouse and gather all the family WILLS, MARRIAGE RECORDS, and DEATH Certificates...search all the CENSUS , go to cemeteries, sit down with lost cousins that you didn't even know you had...compare notes and share your findings. One day after all your diggin' , you will have a big part of your family tree...then, do the same on the other parent !
Good Hunting, and don't give up .
