Hi Sheridan,

Please check out the posting I left on the McAdoo GenForum site. Your McDows are the same as the ones I am researching - except I believe they are McAdoos.

I distinguish them as such to clear the confusion of the McDow line of John McDow/Catherine Caryl of SC whose descendants also married into the Gillham Family, but in later generations.

I think these McAdoos may be tied into the ones from Guilford Co.,NC - I am leaning more towards that since I have only found one McAdoo/McDow (John) in Augusta Co.,VA and his children do not match these McAdoos.

I descend from William Gillham and his wife, Jane McAdoo/McDow.
