I am aware of the 2006 Chicago Tribune death notice for Eneas McDonnell, the husband of Lynn, who died in 1995, and that he had a sister Florence (Stritch) and a brother Larry. Eneas was buried in Dowagiac, MI.
My interest is in Patrick Eneas McDonnell who was born in March, 1845 in Chicago, according to the 1910 Census - E D 621, 1A. Does anyone have information either about him or his parents, especially because he was born in Illinois, and not as an immigrant?
Patrick's death notice appeared in the Chicago Tribune on March 1, 1939 stating that he died at age 96 years. He was buried from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Richard Haley, at 3737 S. Campbell. He was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chicago. He had had eleven children and his spouse was, most likely, Elizabeth Whalen, b. abt. 1847 in Illinois.
My McDonnell ancestors came from Garristown, County Dublin, where other related descendants continue to reside.
Thanks for any consideration.
Bob Niersbach
