Eileen McDonnell - came to NY on Britannic in 1954

My mother-in-law came to NY with her 3 children in Oct or Nov 1954 on the Britannic. She was meeting her husband who was already living in NY. She met a woman on the ship named Eileen McDonnell who was around age 30 in 1954. My mother-in-law's name is Bridie (Bridget) McCabe and she is now 86. She still speaks fondly of Eileen and wonders what happened to her. Eileen was from Co. Clare, unmarried at the time, and coming to the US to visit an uncle in NJ. Sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks!
