Frederick Henry McDonnell of Cork, Ireland / York Co., PA

My great-great grandfather, Frederick Henry McDonnell (or McDonnal) was born in Ireland on March 28, 1833. In 1845, at the age of 12, he stowed away on a ship at Cork bound for the U.S.A. (The date might have been 1847.) He settled in York County, Pennsylvania, where he dropped his surname of McDonnell and made his middle name his last name, calling himself "Fred Henry." He later married Elizabeth Hastings (1834-1897). I am seeking information about his parents. DOES ANYONE WITH MCDONNELL CONNECTIONS IN COUNTY CORK HAVE FAMILY RECORDS SHOWING A YOUNG FREDERICK HENRY MCDONNELL WHO IS LISTED AS "DISAPPEARED", "EMIGRATED" OR "WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN"? He may have had brothers, nephews, etc. who later came to the U.S.A. bringing family records on which he is mentioned. Any information would be much appreciated!
