Patrick McDonnell Family in Greene Co. Pennsylvania 1820-1835
Posted by: David Tague (ID *****5176) Date: July 07, 2010 at 14:51:27
  of 1104

In 1820 & 1830, Patrick and Mary McDonnell were listed as living in Dunkard Twp. Greene Co., Pennsylvania.

In the 1820 census below...

1820 PA Greene Dunkard page 4
Patrick McDonel
1-10 male (1)
26-45 male (1)
0-10 female (1)
10-16 female (1)
16-26 female (1)
45- female (2)

...there were other females living in the household, as well. Does anyone have information about who these people were?

In 1830, there does not seem to be many in the household??? Perhaps these girls were married in the 1820's?

10-15 male (1)

In 1835, Patrick and Mary McDonnell had moved to Perry County, Ohio. A son, John James McDonnell married Catherine McGarry in February 03, 1838 in Perry Co.

By 1840, Patrick and Mary McDonnel and John J. and Catherine McGarry McDonnell were living in Saltlick Twp.,

1840 Ohio Census, Saltlick Township, page 116
Patrick Mc Donal
20-30 male (1)

Any information about the women in the house in 1820 would be most helpful.
