I am not sure but I think there may be a connection to the following couple who were married in Columbiana Co., Ohio:
Joseph McDonald to Charlotte Weaver on Apr. 11, 1837
According to another researcher, they were said to be the parents of Susan McDonald who married James K. Polk Kelley on Dec. 25, 1873 (probably Brown Co.) Indiana.
I do have the death record of Susan which tells this:
Susan Kelly, died 1/15/1925, Madison, Jefferson Co., IN, age 75.The place of burial was Bloomington, Indiana.Birth - 3/2/1848 OhioFather:Joseph McDonald b. PA
Mother:Elizabeth Louner b. PA
The part which confuses me is her mother's maiden name.I am still working on that.I have not been able to find much of anything on these people in the census records.Perhaps, the parents died before 1850 and the children were boarded out into homes of relatives and friends. What is obvious is both Susan and Minerva were in Monroe Co. at one point; there is also the Weaver connection as well.It is likely they are related. This is not my personal line but a close relative is married into this family.
