Thanks for your reply. I don't know if Ancestry.com is not working right or what, but when I put in Blount Co, AL (general census and 1830 and 1840) for David McDonald (exact and/or soundex) or just plain McDonald (exact and/or soundex) I get their little message that they have nothing on that name. How did you get it to come up?
