It seems quite possible, as Archibald Sr's will was in Cumberland County, NC. I don't have verification of birth dates of any of the sons, except that the two youngest, Charles and Hugh, were under 21 in 1818, so all were born before 1798. Family trees on ancestry.com show Archibald was born in Scotland on 22 Nov 1768, and Sarah McNeil in 1765. I have only estimates of birth dates of the sons. If Archibald, Jr was born in 1780, Archibald Senior would have been only 16, and, since Daniel was older, he would have been born when Archibald, Sr., was about 14 or 15. I think it is more likely that Daniel was born around 1786 or 1788, and Archibald, Jr., around 1788 or 1790. It appears that Archibald's will gives at least 100 acres of the Cumberland County plantation to each of the four youngest sons, but no land to the two oldest, so they had probably relocated before 1818. If you would like a copy of the will, I could e-mail it to you if I had your e-mail address.
