He married emily Myrtle Hamill in 1920 and had 2 children Allan Edgar b 1921 in the UK and John Arthur Douglas b 1923 UK. He then died after a tragic car accident in 1937 aged 46, in Bolton UK. I believe his parents were born in Tasmania Australia unsure on dates they were Arthur McDonald and Jane McBean they did marry Dec 27 1887 Tasmania.
