I am trying to trace my ancestor's family back to Europe. Hugh McDonald was born in Virginia abt November 1793. He moved to Mifflintown, PA where he married Catherine Sheets (Shitz) 4 november 1819. Upon his death in December of 1849, she moved the family to Toledo then Indiana. Her son and my maternal g-g-grandfather (William L.) became a successful farmer in Princeton Township, White County, Indiana.
Any help in identifying the parents of Hugh McDonald is greatly appreciated!
