David McDonald, b. about 1807 in SC

Does anyone know anything about David McDonald who was born about 1807-1810 in South Carolina; married Nancy Boswell in Pike Co, Alabama in 1840? Their descendants eventually ended up in the Birmingham, Alabama area.
