I am just beginning and I need help finding my great grandfather Robert L? McDonald pre 1910. According to 1910 census records, his parents were born in Georgia and he was born in Texas. 1910 shows wife being Orean-her parents born in Alabama. 1920 census shows his wife being Mary E. and 1930 census shows a Corene as head of household, no more Robert. Rumor has it that he left his family, apparently betweeen 1920 and 1930. I know that the line is correct because the children are consistent in each census, but mom's name changes from Orean to Mary E. to Corene. All accounts are from Bowie County, Texas. I cannot find either Robert or Orean-Mary E.-Corene earlier than 1910. Please help.
