I've got the will of Alexander McDonald who was a colour sergeant in 75th Regiment of Foot. he died at Stiling in 1870. He was the brother of John McDonald (who had a son Donald), who was a farmer at Pitchirin, Parish of Alvie Badenock, Invernessshire.
I got this will from Scotlands People because I thought I may be able to connect it to my McDonalds - but there was no connection in it.
I would be pleased to forward a copy to anyone researching this line.
