McDONALD, Robert Bruce August 1, 1954 January 14, 2008 Bob is victorious at last and finally at peace after a 50 year battle with type 1 diabetes. With passionate intent he savored the goodness in life as a beloved husband, honoured father, fatherin-law and grandfather, cherished brother and uncle, noble son and most respected friend. Bob will be deeply mourned by all. He passed on in the caring arms of his wife and was comforted by the love of his family both near and far. He was at peace with himself and the lives of those dear to him believing he would be with us always, everywhere, in the wind, our hearts, the ocean foam, the gleam of the stars Bob was a man easy to respect, very loving and caring, our sorrow is only tempered by the comfort he has deservingly achieved. His utmost wish for the ultimate donation to further Diabetes research has been granted. Donations to the Diabetes Association or the Anatomical Sciences Research Endowment Fund would be gladly accepted in lieu of flowers.
