Hi Charlene,This is a real long shot...I'm raising my grandaughter, Bridget McDonald. Her parents are gone.I've done well tracing my lines but I wanted her to know her McDonald ancestors. So far I've got John Thomas McDonald, her grandpa. His father was John Ellis McDonald, son of John Henry McDonald.John Henry married Lillian Ellis, dau of Andrew Thomas Ellis from Canada. John and Lillian were rather famous Circus "Fliers" and Comedians. They traveled the world doing Vaudville and also playing to Kings and Heads of states! I have an arcticle from a book in the Dana library in southern IN.They had retired there.John was the town policeman. Before they had retired completely they entertained The local people by practicing their act. Some of the older people remember them.Their son John Ellis and his family used to drive down from Fort Wayne, IN to visit and joined in- they had an arialist act going too . As I said, Long shot! John Ellis McDonald was born 1902 in Sanilac county , Michigan.
