Dear David, We have tried to find who your line comes from. Your James was born in 1758. Our JamesSr. was born abt. 1730-35. His son, if the will is correct, was born in the 1760's. He had daughter, Mary, who married a Kirk, then James Jr. and then Matthews, born April 29, 1769. From Bible record. Then, Jacob, 1770's and William, born Nov. 26, 1781, Yadkins Falls, Montgomery Co. N.C. Bible record and Army records. We have a lot on William, but the others not very much. Have you joined the World Family Tree for the DNA tests? We have 1 perfect match on the 37 marker, but can't make the connection. If you join, get the 25-37 and they give you the 12 marker. It is listed under Clan Donald. We would love to know if there isa family connection. I have some info on your James. service records in S.C. and a family list, if you don't have that. Sincerely, Ruth M. Scruggs
