The names you have given are not familiar, but some of my ancestors were McDevitts and settled in Ontario. My grtgrtgrtgrandparents were John McDevitt (1797-1854) and Martha Parkhill (1789-1872) who came from County Derry in Northern Ireland. Their eldest son William McDevitt (1820-1898) was apparently born in Ireland, and their remaining two children Mary McDevitt (1825 - ? ) and John McDevitt (1828-1895) were both born in the USA. The family is believed to have come to Ontario in perhaps the 1830s and settled in King Twp., York Co. where James bought 153 acres of farmland in January 1843.

Are we connected???
