McDermott NY, VA and PA
I am looking for the family of an Alice McDermott b. abt. 1824 in IRE.She married a Felix MCCLOSKEY also of IRE and their first child, Mary was born in NY in 1847.subsequent children were born in VA in the years 1849-1858.One at least born in the Wheeling area.
The family moved to Pittsburgh PA.Felix is listed as a tailor on 1860 census.I am looking for any McDermotts associated with the MCCluskey or MCCLOSKEYS.Also, there is some relation to two MCDERMOTT sisters who taught school. One named Gertrude? and taught Latin at St. Canice School in the 1930's.These McDermott sisters also may have had a brother who was a Passionist Priest.
