Dear JoAnne Jansen re: James McDermott 1818
James McDermott b.1818 d.1871, was my great-grandfather. His son, Chester Wellington b.1899 d.1984, was my grandfather. His daughter Ruby Margaret b.1933 d.1989, was my mother. My name is Edith Brenda Law. I was raised by my grandfather Chester on the McDermott Family dairy farm in Ontario, Canada. My father was Lennie Law, of Chinese descent. I think we should chat sometime and share information. I have been told that James McDermott was born in Scotland, however, you have him as born in Ireland. You may be right and this is why I cannot find him listed in Scotland. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
