While at the library copying obits for someone, I managed to get a copy of the following obit.
I am in no way related to this person, but wanted to post the obit in case it is helpful to someone else.

Patrick McDermott
Patrick McDermott, 83, died yesterday at the Lowell General hospital. He was born in Lowell, the son of the late Thomas and Ann (Doyle) McDermott and for many years made his home in the South End section. For the past 10 years, he was an attendant of St. Patrick's church and made his home at 10 Dutton street. Mr. McDermott is survived by one daughter, Catherine, and one son, Thomas McDermott.
