Immigrated to US in 1876. His sister Fannie and a brother William came with him. A brother James J came later. Parents may have been John & Anna McDermid of Lanarkshire. The siblings split up in US and lost touch. Alexander married a Sarah E Franklin and after her death, he married Harriet E Elliott. Lived in Illinois, SD, NE, Montana and Idaho.
