John McDaniel b. 1839 (AL/TN or MS) lived in TX then CA

married to Margaret (Curry) b. 1840 and had 9 children--
Zolly
Clippid Chavers -- moved to CA
Ozora Harris--lived/died in McLennan County, TX
Ida
Philip
Ardan
Bartholomew
Margaret Chavers
Percy

I have located them on the 1870, 1880, 1890 and 1900 census records. John was Indian, Cherokee most likely, and owned land in OK. It appears they moved to Fresno, CA in teh late 1800's. He owned home in Fresno and is listed as being a cattle driver. The last record I could find was a death certificate for Margaret Curry McDaniels in 1912, but have been unable to find records for any of the children besides my great-great-great grandmother Ozora McDaniels Harris. She could read and write and learned to do so on a reservation in OK.
