Mark, This is not the right Dewey.This Dewey is my husband's great uncle and he was born in 1898.The 1930 census is out now, you might find your dad on it listed as a small child, which could lead you to other relatives with information.I would also check the Social Security Death Index just to make sure that he is not on it.Also, check the old newspapers in or near Jackson Tenn. around the time of your dad's birth.A lot of times there would be a birth announcement with more information.They also used to put family gatherings in the paper.A baby shower might have been mentioned with his parent's names in it.You could also check city directories.I would check the one for Jackson, Tenn around the time of your dad's birth, and check the ones around Dearborn. MI around the time of your birth for an uncle's name. Libraries usually have city directories from years ago.Hope this helps. --Lynn McDaniels
